SEO Settings

Even if you are running a coming soon page, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t start building your SEO points. While you are working on the site, let your coming soon page work for you – enter a few details about the page, and decide if you want search engines to exclude the site.

All SEO options can be found in Settings -> Maintenance Mode -> Basic.

Exclude Search Engines?

Maintenance Mode exclude search engines

Do you want to exclude search engines from viewing maintenance page? This will enable search engines to view your regular website and not the Maintenance Mode page even if the plugin is enabled.

Page Title

Maintenance Mode page titles SEO

Write a title for the maintenance page. This title will show in the browser, and more importantly, it will show to search engines and users who get to your site via them. It is important for SEO, so make sure that you write something meaningful, like a keyword that describes your site.

Page Description

Maintenance Mode page description SEO

Describe your page in a few short sentences. This description will be visible to search engines, but also to people who stumble upon your site in search results.

Because of that, write for humans, not search engines (we suggest writing a normal description, without leaving any words; don’t stuff it with keywords). This text will encourage people to click on your site on Google. Length should be 50 – 300 characters.
